				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We&#8217;re gearing up for a fantastic autumn here at Pyramid Health &amp; Fitness Ltd &#8211; whatever the weather &#8211; with a whole host of new classes coming soon, and a couple of opportunities for you to try things out first!</p>
<p>Our programme for the autumn will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Body Blitz, Boxercise, Bootcamp, Bokwa (a fabulous high-energy aerobics class), Bodygroove (a dance-style workout)</li>
<li>Fitness Pilates</li>
<li>Sing-A-Long-A-Robics (Love to sing in front of the mirror? Well, this is your chance to sing AND work out, and you don&#8217;t have to be able to sing or dance to do it &#8211; in this class, everyone&#8217;s a star!)</li>
<li>Legs, Bums and Tums</li>
<li>Zumba (of course!)</li>
<li>&#8230; and more &#8230;</li>
</ul>
<p>We&#8217;re also introducing a &#8216;Swing It!&#8217; class using Kettlebells, and a HIIT it Hard High Intensity Interval Training Class, with taster sessions running as follows:</p>
<p>Monday 17th September at Great Kingshill Village Hall</p>
<ul>
<li>7.30pm – Swing It! Kettlebells class</li>
<li>8.05pm – HIIT it Hard – Total Body. A 25 minute High Intensity Interval Training class – not for beginners!</li>
</ul>
<p>Tuesday 18th September at Millbrook School</p>
<ul>
<li>7.00pm – Swing It! Kettlebells class</li>
</ul>
<p>We&#8217;ll also be running a Legs, Bums and Tums taster on Tuesday 18th, at 7.30 p.m.</p>
<p>There will be a small charge of £3 per person per taster session, and you will need to BOOK IN ADVANCE for the HIIT it Hard – Total Body and Swing It! classes, as spaces for these sessions will be very limited. If you&#8217;re a monthly paying member, there is no charge, but you will still need to book to take part. Email <a href="mailto:info@pyramidfitness.co.uk">info@pyramidfitness.co.uk</a> to book your place.</p>
<p>If you can&#8217;t make these dates, there&#8217;ll be another opportunity to try these and other classes at our Open Day in High Wycombe on Saturday 6th October, with full details to follow soon! 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today, we&#8217;re delighted to be able to feature a testimonial from Kate, who&#8217;s one of our fabulous regular Bootcampers!</p>
<p>&#8220;I enrolled on bootcamp at the end of September 2011 having come back from holiday tipping the scales at well over 10 st and with a very definite muffin top over my jeans &#8211; my usual 4 mile runs didn&#8217;t seem to be having any effect but after the taster week when I could barely walk down the stairs I had already lost 2lb so I was hooked. The weight loss continued over the next 4 weeks when I abstained from coffee, tried eating wheat and potato free but with the amazing effect of losing a further 7 lb.</p>
<p>After a month off to catch up on sleep (5.30 alarms for the 6.15 morning class!) I re-enrolled for another course &#8211; this time I was less strict with my diet but still achieved steady weight loss but my shrinking size was having unforeseen consequences &#8211; most of my clothes were now too big &#8211; with Christmas looming I had lost more than a stone and my party clothes were hanging off me so I reached into the depths of my wardrobe for my black velvet 50&#8242;s cocktail dress which I wore for my 21st birthday some time ago &#8211; pre marriage &#8211; pre babies, and more than 21 years ago. Reader, it fits!!</p>
<p>I have since had to replace most of my wardrobe to fit my new size but I can wear my black velvet again and again!!&#8221;</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Saturday 3 March, a wonderful team of 10 Zumba instructors led a two-and-a-half hour Zumbathon at Bucks Uni in aid of two fantastic local charities, <a href="http://www.scannappeal.org.uk">scannappeal</a> and the <a href="http://www.thomasball.org.uk">Thomas Ball Children&#8217;s Cancer Fund</a>. Around 85 Zumba fanatics enjoyed a great dance workout, and a few lucky winners got their hands on some great prizes in our charity raffle!</p>
<p>We&#8217;re still adding up the final pennies, but thanks to the support of everyone who attended, we&#8217;re hopeful of handing over a total of £900 to our chosen causes.</p>
<p>Well done everyone, and thank you!<br />

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of the most common excuses I hear for not being able to exercise is not having time.  Now I know modern life can leave us feeling like this – what with working, cooking, being a parent or carer and running a home, time can sometimes be limited for other things.  However, we all have the same 24 hours in each day and it’s what you decide to do with those hours that might make the difference between you and the next person who seems to have time to be ‘always working out’.</p>
<p>With just a little bit of organisation you can make time to build an exercise regime to fit in to your lifestyle.   You don’t need to join a gym, and you don’t have to spend hours at a time pounding the cardio machines and then not getting results.  In fact, if you do the right type of exercise, you can achieve results in just 15 minutes a day (and this can be equivalent to spending around an hour in the gym), with exercises that can be done at home.  Just think where you might get that 15 minutes from – how long do you spend watching TV in the evenings?  Or surfing the internet, or wasting time on facebook??  I believe that EVERYONE can find 15 minutes in their day to fit in some exercise.</p>
<p>So, look at your day, look at what you are doing and where you could gain that time from.  If you are really struggling, then feel free to drop me a line and I’ll help you.  I can also give you some pointers for the right kind of exercise to do.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well it’s been a few weeks since I did my first post, so thought I’d update at week 24 with a short note and new picture!</p>
<p>This pic was taken just before heading out to our 2011 Pyramid Health and Fitness Ltd Christmas party. Bump is appearing and everything else is too!!!</p>
<p>The evening was great fun, and I managed to last the night without drinking and some dancing too, although must say my feet are now getting crippled when I wear my high heels!!!!</p>
<p>Been feeling great over the past few weeks, managing to do a lot of walking, some gym visits although no swimming due to itchy scabby rash – not a good look!!! so back in to that in the New Year while I still can!!! As i’ve been told come 3rd trimester the 1st trimester symptoms may hit me again and then some!</p>
<p>Last class is 21 December and although will miss it, looking forward to a break over Christmas, to have a few days off and just relax! and it’s been nice this week actually having a lie in – 8.30am for the past 3 days, unheard of for me, even at the weekends, so guessing must need my sleep!!!!</p>
<p>I shall post again in a few weeks time, when I’m sure there’ll be even more of a change!</p>
